I Need Romance 3: Episode 8

It's A Relief That You Know How To Cry Again

Episode 8 opens on a high note leaving me worry free....for the moment. And boy was that moment brief.

This episodes first scene is of a team meeting and everything is going well until Shing-Shing sees Tae Yoon oppa and her heart started to hurt again. (Her heart even hurts when she is taking the medicine that common sense would tell her is not going to do anything for her chest pain). Thus we dive into the useful yet oddly annoying flashback of what transpired that night. And Shing-Shing just seems to be on repeat of what Allen said to her. Unfortunately she is extreme denial about who she likes and assumes that Allen is talking about himself when he said that she likes someone. And of course since Allen is a new fixture in her life, she will automatically assume that he is the reason but he's not!

Even worse, in the mist of her smiling-texting with Allen, Shing-Shing runs into Tae Yoon oppa and he invites her to dinner. That made me happy until I saw Se Ryung waiting for him to have dinner as well. And boy was dinner uncomfortable. Not only were Se Ryung and Shing-Shing wearing the same dress at dinner but Tae Yoon oppa had the nerve to leave them alone to talk. Of course they talked about their past and all but when Se Ryung asked Shing-Shing why she avoided her, I thought she might have figured out by then that she also likes Tae Yoon oppa but then she said that she really hates Se Ryung and my head started hurting again. The fact that Se Ryung tried to get Shing-Shing to leave as soon as Tae Yoon oppa appeared in her sight was a bit disgruntling for me but this scene turned around in my favor and Shing-Shing won out over Se Ryung. I guess it is true that the one with the most masks win. But it is also true that if you have too many masks you will lose who you are.

The next scene was even funnier. woo Young oppa and Hee Jae unnie were at their desks diligently taping away at the keyboards to the point that I thought they were working on something. It turns out that all they were doing were writing messages to each other but deleting it and writing new messages over and over again. And the moment that they looked at each other startled me because I had already sunken deep into their hide-and-seek game. Although it is sad to say this but I think the two really like each other. I mean Hee Jae has been avoiding Woo Young since the kissing incident and has made the atmosphere between them so awkward that I don't know what will happen between them. And leaving the office Woo Young fought so hard to give Hee Jae a ride home but was completely shocked when she accepted the ride home. (I was shocked as well. I thought Woo Young oppa would have either had to get out of the car again or end up driving away but it wouldn't have been good for him to drive away). But then again it would have proven that she does have feelings for him--well likes him if she didn't get in the care and the atmosphere between them would have probably deteriorated more drastically.

Fun Fact: Shing-Shing and Tae Yoon oppa live close by each other. Honestly I didn't know that....... Anywho, Shing-Shing is seriously dependent of Allen's advice in her life to the point where comfort in telling him about her daily life seems more than just a routine but habit. And unfortunately it was always Tae Yoon oppa that Shing-Shing would go and talk to but now that Allen in conviently in her life and giving her his time the consultant has changed. I feel sorry for Tae Yoon oppa. I know he is currently happy but he was also happy being Shing-Shing's everything man. I hope a girl comes into Allen's life and confesses her undying love for him and damages his relationship with Shing-Shing and Tae Yoon oppa reappears as the guy she needs in her life. To be honest, although Allen is the softer version of the cold and calculating Tae Yoon oppa, they still have roughly the same personality and play the same role in Shing-Shing's life: consultant.

Anywho, what's important is that Shing-Shing has finally figured out that she likes Tae Yoon oppa. Hee Jae and her boyfriend have broken up.......My heart was actually racing during this scene because I thought he noticed her sitting inn Woo Young oppa's car but when he told her that their dreams were different, I still thought that he might have seen them but that he may be right about Hee Jae unnie not having a dream. She seems very good at following her sunbae's footsteps but not really creating her own path. More importantly and on a side note, what is Min Jung unnie gonna do about the baby.

Okay back on track, Se Ryung and Tae Yoon have once again broken up and it actually hurt me more to see Tae Yoon oppa so distressed over their second break up. Yet Se Ryung, Tae Yoon and Shing-Shing still have to work together on their joint product and it is seriously killing me. And the fact that Tae Yoon oppa came to let them know that it was raining outside and they all decided to jump in the pool was such a cute moment for them. Unfortunately the cuteness didn't last into the next scene and instead I rediscovered Tae Yoon oppa's cold-face. And then to make things worse, Tae Yoon oppa invited Shing-Shing to the even that he would have gone to with Se Ryung if he hadn't whimsically broken up with out of anger. And to be even more frank, my heart kinda skipped a beat when he asked and I thought, 'Omg, they're going on a date'.  But I take that back.....he did it to get back at Se Ryung because he still really does have feelings for her. I just wish oppa would get over her. And to be frank again, his actions do make him look like a jerk and despite my anger with Se Ryung and now Allen for calling Tae Yoon oppa a 'jerk', it's kinda true. (I mean it is true).

Anywho, the performance ended and I genuinely liked the bits and pieces that I got to see. But while drinking Tae Yoon oppa confesses his misdeed to Shing-Shing and it made me feel better and worse at the same time. I couldn't help but thinking, 'wow, oppa isn't that much of a jerk since he confessed', and then I countered that thought with, 'but it was still cowardly of him to do that, he didn't have to go to the performance, he could have just gone drinking with Shing-Shing'. I can't believe I'm saying this but I keep coming up with reasons to justify Tae Yoon oppa's actions while pointing out why he was wrong for doing what he did. Both my heart and Shing-Shing unnie's hearts are hurting but I think we have slightly different reasons. And let's not forget that Se Ryung now knows Allen's connection to Shing-Shing. I'm starting to wonder when Tae Yoon oppa will figure out everyone's connections.

And of course we end this episode with more crying and my heart in severe pain.....I wonder what will happen the next episode?
