T.O.P In Legal Trouble

I woke up this morning to this heartbreaking news. My beloved oppa has done something wrong amd to be quite frank since it is against Korean laws he should be punished but the fan in me wishes it is a lenient punishment. After GD's and Park Bom's past drug scandals I'm surprised that T.O.P as the oldest BigBang member has been caught up in this marijuana issue. And as he is serving his military service I am quite shocked that this is happening.

YG Entertainment has alread y confirmed T.O.P admitted to the charges, but reports say he initially denied the accusations. The Big Bang member and a female acquaintance in her 20s were found to have illegally smoked marijuana in his home on 3 different occasions between October 9-12 of last year. 

T.O.P first told police, "It wasn't marijuana. It was an electronic cigarette." However, his acquaintance eventually admitted to the crime. Police also stated the acquaintance had multiple drug offenses on file already.

With T.O.P's marijuana charge, netizens are revisiting the supposed government connection to YG Entertainment, which sprang up late last year. Rumors are alleging Choi Soon Shil, the aide and friend of recently impeached South Korean President Park Geun Hye, has a financial stake in YGE and YGE-affiliated buildings. 

Allegedly, this connection is why YG Entertainment labelmates, including Park Bom and G-Dragon, got away with their perspective drug scandals. Furthermore, there are speculations that T.O.P was charged for his drug use because YGE no longer has the protection of Choi Soon Shil, who was officially charged for intervening in state affairs last November.

Beenzino has left us

Korean rapper Beenzino is the same age as BIGBANG’s T.O.P and he has officially gone in to serve his mandatory 2yr service today 05/29. But he did not just go off into military service empty handed (so to speak). Beenzino along with his other half Shimmy Twice form the duo Jazzyfact and decided that before Beenzino goes into his 2yr hiatus that they would drop this precious album on us. And lo and behold they have done just that.

This picture below is literally how I felt when I saw Beenzino’s shaved head. I was prepared for it but I was still in shock to actually see it all gone like NOOOOOOOO Oppa where all your beautiful hair gone!!!!!!!!

But doesn’t he still look good with his army grade shaved head?????? I’m gonna miss this goof ball and all his quirky style. Until the 2yrs are up I’m just gonna keep listening to your songs

Music This Week 02/05-02/11

Learning Korean

I have been learning the Korean language for the past 5 years but have never fully developed any proper speaking skills. Most of my learning has been through dramas, variety shows, and music. Starting this year, marking the sixth year of my learning, I have decided to become more serious and active in learning the language. 

Starting with the book shown above, the Integrated Korean, I will begin my journey into learning how to speak and write Korean properly. This will be mostly self study but I am also reaching out to anyone that can speak Korean to correct me or help me better understand what I am learning. 

If anyone is familiar with this textbook series, then you may also know that it does not come with an answer key and that you also have to pay to get the answer key from the website. I instead want to challenge myself and not get the answer key at all if possible. 

So without further delay, I will begin to expand my knowledge of the Korean language through this book.
